COLLEGE PARK, Md. - "Breakfast with Fridge," the meeting between Maryland's head football coach and fans of his team on home game weeks, returns this Friday. Coach Ralph Friedgen will go over this weekend's pivotal homecoming matchup with North Carolina and answer fans questions at the gathering.
Please see the note below as well as the parking note at the bottom of this page.
This week's "Breakfast" will be held in the auditorium -- rather than its usual spot in the ballroom -- which is across the hall from its regular location. Food will be served in the hall, but fans will not be allowed to bring the food into the auditorium due to the fact that another event takes place shortly thereafter. One other note: there will be a "Breakfast" the Wednesday morning prior to the Virginia game on Thur., Nov. 13th.
As for this Friday, Terrapin fans will have the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Coach Friedgen for breakfast and "chalk-talk" at the Marriott Inn & Conference Center in College Park. "Breakfast with Fridge" will be held each Friday morning before home football games. Doors open at 7:00 a.m. and Coach Friedgen will address the group from 7:30 a.m. - approximately 8:30 a.m.
There is no cost to attend and a continental breakfast will be provided free of charge. Promotional items from the Maryland Sports Marketing Department and football yard signs will also be available.
The Marriott Inn & Conference Center is located at 3501 University Blvd. East, on the corner of Adelphi Road and University Blvd. Parking is available at the Conference Center Parking Garage. If you have any questions, contact the Marriott Inn & Conference Center at 301.985.7300. or the Maryland Sports Marketing office at 301.314.7072
Note: Parking is available in the garage adjacent to the Inn & Conference Center for $1.00 per hour. Fans can also park at the United Methodist Church across the street from the Inn & Conference Center for a minimum donation of $2 ($1 goes to the church and each additional dollar to the MGN). Please do not park in Lot 1 as it is designated for student parking and subject to ticketing.
