
Prep School Champion Signs With Terrapin Wrestling Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland wrestling team and head coach Pat Santoro announced that Kyle Harger has signed a National Letter of intent to attend Maryland. He will join the team in time for the 2004-2005 season.
Harger is a two-time All-American and a three-time New England Prep School champion and conference champion while wrestling in the 140-pound weight class at Brooks School (Mass.)
He won the AAU Tournament of Champions, became the AAU Grand National Greco champion and was the Mile High National Champion at his home in Loveland, Ohio.
Harger is the No. 13-ranked wrestler in the 140-pound weight class by Wrestling USA Magazine and No. 19 by W.I.N. Magazine.
The Boston Globe named Harger to their All-Scholastic team in 2001, 2002 and 2003. He placed third at prep school nationals in 2003 and has compiled a record of 113-6 entering his senior year.
