Dear Maryland Fan,

We are writing to sincerely thank you for your loyalty to the Athletic Program, which is tangibly shown by your Terrapin Club membership and your purchase of football tickets. Crowd support at Maryland Football has been great this year!

Purchasing our full allotment (or exceeding it and requesting additional tickets) will reinforce our reputation as a strong bowl team. This will be our third bowl game in three years. The past two bowl trips have been terrific positives for Maryland Football.

Our goal is to build a football program for which bowl appearances occur routinely. Participating in a bowl game is a reward for our team. It also extends our season and helps us improve our program. Further, it provides additional program exposure to our national-caliber football recruits. Those recruits will see media reports and the number of tickets sold, and through that, they develop opinions about the overall support for our football program.

Tickets are on sale now to support the Terps as they strive to make their third straight bowl appearance. For the best possible seats, order your tickets now.

The deadline for the Ticket Office to receive priority ticket order forms is Friday, December 5. Updated bowl information, including bowl events and travel packages, will be posted on www.umterps.com and www.terrapinclub.com.

Please read the following information carefully as it outlines the procedures for ordering and assigning tickets.

How do I purchase bowl tickets?

1. DECIDE the quantity of tickets that you would like to order. Tickets are $60 each and there is a $15 handling fee per order.

2. INCLUDE your Visa, Mastercard or Discover number, expiration date and signature with your order.

3. POSTMARK AND RETURN your order to the Ticket Office by December 5 for early consideration.

4. TICKETS will be sent by Federal Express to the address listed on your order form (non-PO Box) at least seven (7) days prior to the bowl game.

How will the seats be assigned?

Orders for bowl game tickets will be filled in Terpoint priority order, using the priority ticket limits listed below. Seats will be assigned within the allotment of tickets allocated to Maryland by the bowl. Priority tickets are the number of tickets that will be assigned based on one's Terrapin Club 2003 giving level and Terpoint total as of December 2, 2003. Nonpriority ticket orders are encouraged and will be filled after all of the priority orders have been filled.

In what order will tickets be assigned?

Tickets will be assigned in the following order:

1st - Terrapin Club members' priority orders in Terpoint order.

2nd - Football season ticket holders, who are not Terrapin Club members' priority orders, by date of order.

3rd - Terrapin Club members' non-priority orders in Terpoint order.

4th - UMCP Alumni Association members, UMCP Faculty & Staff, M Club, & MGN members, who are not Terrapin Club members, by date of order.

5th - Other UMCP Alumni and general public, by date of order.

How will I know my order has been received?

A credit card charge by the Ticket Office confirms receipt of your order, but does not guarantee that all or part of your order will be filled. When the final number of tickets that you will be assigned is determined, your credit card charge will be adjusted to reflect the appropriate amount.

How can I improve my seats?

Current Terrapin Club members can make an additional contribution to increase their Terpoints and improve their seat assignment. Additional gifts must be received by the Terrapin Club by December 2, 2003 to receive proper credit.

How can I join the Terrapin Club?

If you are not currently a member of the Terrapin Club, you can join by December 2, 2003 for the 2003 membership year to have your bowl game tickets assigned as a Terrapin Club member. Visit www.terrapinclub.com or call (301) 314-7020.

Can I sit with a group?

While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to honor group-seating requests, every effort will be made to do so. Fans wishing to sit together must submit their orders at the same time and each group member must indicate with whom they wish to be seated on their ticket application. Seats will be assigned in order of the person with the fewest Terpoint total in the group. In the event that a member of the group is not a Terrapin Club member, ALL seats will be assigned within the non-donor area.

What if I decide to order tickets, then decide not to go?

Because of the ticket requirements associated with bowl games, we are not in a position to offer refunds or cancellations.

I cannot go, but want to purchase tickets in support of Maryland.

Many times, bowl game invitations are based not only on the team's performance, but also the support of its fans. We hope to have a large contingent of Terrapin fans at the game. However, if you are unable to go, but would like to purchase tickets, please do so. On the order form, let the Ticket Office know that you will not be attending the game and we will make certain that youth, law enforcement or military personnel in the bowl game area benefit. Terrapin Club members may receive Gift-in-Kind credit based on the face value of the tickets donated.

* Customers ordering more than their priority limit will have their orders split.

* A number of bowls offer more than one price level. If your order cannot be filled at the highest price level, the Ticket Office will credit your credit card the difference and fill your order at the next available price level.

* Ticket payments are non-refundable.
