Stammler, a native of Gahanna, Ohio, has a GPA of 3.89 in finance while helping the second-ranked Terps to a 17-2-1 record this season and a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Stammler, a two-time team captain, has started every match at center back, and has played all but four minutes for the Terps this season. He has one goal and one assist and has been a key to Maryland's 11 shutouts this season. Stammler was also named to both the All-ACC First Team and the ACC All-Tournament Team.

Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 14,000 student-athletes in Division I, II, III and NAIA covering all NCAA championship sports.
Stammler and the Terps will be in action on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m., when they open NCAA Tournament play against Old Dominion. Maryland (17-2-1) advanced to the College Cup last season.
