
Friedgen, Terps on the Air Plenty This Holiday Season

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - In the coming weeks leading up to this year's Toyota Gator Bowl, Maryland football fans can get their fill of the Terrapins through several shows that will air both on radio and television. Below is a look at some of those appearances, most of which will involve the team's third-year mentor, Ralph Friedgen.
On Sunday, Dec. 21, The Ralph Friedgen Radio Show will air a special Gator Bowl edition at 7:00 p.m. The show will be taped live at the Oracle Lounge in the University Inn & Conference Center and fans are welcome to attend. The show will air live on WBAL (1090 AM Baltimore), WMAL (630 AM D.C.) and WMSG (1050 AM Oakland). It will run tape delayed on WTGM (960 AM Salisbury) at 10:00 p.m. Sunday and on WTBO (1450 Cumberland) at 8:00 p.m.
Comcast SportsNet will air the Gator Bowl Television Show on Tuesday, Dec. 23 (7:30 p.m.) and Wednesday, Dec. 24 (10:30 p.m.), a look at the re-match between the Terps and West Virginia.
Comcast is also airing a special on Friedgen's new website, FridgeTV.com, that will show some of the behind-the-scenes footage compiled by Jess Atkinson with his in-depth coverage of the team this year. The hour special will air five times: Mon., Dec. 22 at 7:00 p.m.; Wed., Dec. 24 at 7:00 p.m.; Sun., Dec. 28 at 10:30 p.m.; Thu., Jan. 1 at 9:00 p.m.; and Tue., Jan. 6 at 7:00 p.m.
On Christmas Day, NBC will run a bowl special that will feature interviews of Coach Friedgen and several players. A time has not yet been determined for the special so fans should check local listings for air times.
Finally, FridgeTV.com (www.fridgetv.com) will have live webcasts each night between Dec. 28 and Jan. 1 with Coach Friedgen, assistant coaches and players being available to answer fans questions live from Jacksonville. Fans should visit the website for details when the time nears.
