SECAUCUS, N.J. - Three former Terrapin lacrosse stars were drafted in the Major League Lacrosse 2003 Supplemental Draft held at the League Headquarters in Secaucus, N.J.

Face-off specialist Brian Carroll (1999-2002) was selected by the Rochester Rattlers in the third round with the 13th overall selection. Carroll was among the nation's top face-off men in 2002 as he won 62.1 percent of his draws (159/256). He was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team in 2002. After his senior campaign he was honored with the Dan Snyder Award as the Terps' Most Improved Player. He was also selected to the play in the USILA North/South Game and was named the event's most outstanding player after a great day winning face-offs.

Midfielder Brian Zeller (1996-2000) was taken by the Baltimore Bayhawks in the fourth round with the 24th overall pick. Zeller, who has also played for the Washington Power in the National Lacrosse League has been a star on the club circuit since finishing his college career in 2000. He finished his career at Maryland with 100 career points on 64 goals and 36 assists. He was named a USILA Second Team All-American and member of the All-ACC team in 1998 when he has 20 goals and 13 assists for 33 points. He also tallied 33 points as a senior in 2000 with 17 goals and 16 assists.

Goalie Pat McGinnis (1998-2001) was also taken by the Bayhawks in the seventh round (42nd overall). One of the premier college goalies during his final two years at Maryland, McGinnis capped his career by being named a USILA First Team All-American in 2001. He led the Terps to a 13-3 record and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) regular season championship that season. He allowed just 6.48 goals per game and saved 65.3 per cent of the shots he faced in 2001. He finished his career with a 63.5 save percentage -- the best by a Terp all-time. He was also an All-ACC selection in 2000 and 2001. Since his graduation, McGinnis has played with the Bridgeport Barrage in Major League Lacrosse.
