Maryland's Dan McCormick was named ACC Men's Lacrosse
Player of the Week.
McCormick, a goalkeeper from McLean, Virginia, made a career-high 17 saves in
a 13-7 win over ACC rival Duke on Saturday. He stopped 16 of 17 shots on goal over a
span of 50 minutes from the first quarter to the fourth quarter. He shutout Duke for 38
minutes from early in the second quarter until late in the fourth quarter.
The senior allowed just seven goals to a team which came in averaging 11 goals
per game.
