COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland lacrosse All-Americans Michael Howley (Wantagh, N.Y.) and Mike Mollot (Holbrook, N.Y.) has been selected to play in the 2003 USILA/STX North-South Classic. The annual all-star game will be played on Saturday, June 7 at Sacred Heart University in New Haven, Conn.

Howley was named a USILA First Team All-American this past Monday. He has been a first or second team All-American selection for each of the past three seasons, making him the first Terps since Tom Worstell (1986-88) to be honored so highly. Howley started his last 60 games as a Terp on close defense and finished his career with 178 groundballs, four goals and five assists for nine points. He was a three-time All-ACC selection and earned NCAA All-Tournament honors this past weekend as he held Virginia's leading scorer and All-American attacker John Christmas pointless for the only time this season.
Mollot was named a USILA Third Team All-American on Monday, marking the second year in a row he was recognized by the USILA. Last season, he was a second team selection. Mollot finished his four-year career with 172 points, making him the 14th all-time leading scorer at Maryland. With 95 career assists, he also finished ninth on the Maryland all-time list. This season, Mollot tallied 20 goals and added 19 assists for 39 points. He was named to the All-ACC for the second year in a row.
