Byrd Stuffed Again -- WVU Football Game a Sellout

Sept. 18, 2003

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - For the second time in as many home games of 2003, the University of Maryland football team officially has a sellout on its hands. Like the season opener against The Citadel, the Maryland ticket office has proclaimed this Saturday's 6:00 p.m. showdown with West Virginia University a sellout.

With Hurricane Isabel looming, there are no plans to change Saturday's game time or move the contest to another date. Fans should check umterps.com for any updates, but otherwise, the Terps and Mountaineers look to square off in a series that is currently knotted up at 19-19-2 all-time.

Maryland has won the last two meetings with its regional rival, taking last year's contest in Morgantown, 48-17, while narrowly leading the all-time series at Byrd Stadium, 11-9-1.
