COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland wrestling team will open the 2004-05 season this weekend at the Body Bar Invitational hosted by Cornell. The Terps will send 17 wrestlers to the tournament that will feature competition from top programs such Michigan, Edinboro, Virginia, Army and host Cornell. Jason Kiessling took fifth place at the tournament a year ago.

Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and the finals are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Maryland Terrapin lineup consists mostly of young talent, with lone senior Barry Stein (HWT) slated as a starter. Junior co-captains Jason Gribschaw (141) and Adam James (157) are expected to help pace the Terps this year, but will miss this weekend's tournament recovering from injury.
