Mediate, a Southlake, Texas, native, proved to be a difference maker for the Terps coming out of the midfield. He has nine goals and nine assists for 27 points, and his five game-winning goals this season lead the team.
Maryland (17-5-2) will be in search of its first NCAA title since 1968 this weekend when the Terps travel to Carson, Calif., to participate in this year's College Cup. Maryland will face defending champion Indiana at 5 p.m. (PST).
