MIAMI - The University of Maryland track and field teams completed a day of competition at the Miami Gatorade Classic Saturday night. Rob Frelow led the men's squad with two top-five finishes, while Labelle Hillgrove had three top-10 finishes for the women.

Frelow finished sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.48 and fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 47.72. Fellow sprinter Harold Manning was just ahead of Frelow in the 200, finishing fifth (21.48).

Thrower John Collins had the highest individual finish of the day for the men, grabbing second-place honors in the hammer throw (181-10). Adam Durham had a seventh-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (15.06).

On the women's side, Hillgrove finished ninth in the shot put (42-09.50), eighth in the discus (145-09) and ninth in the hammer throw (143-07).

Tia Burley finished 10th in the 400 meters (54.69), while Danielle Siebert was seventh in the 800 meters (2:14.63).

Turning in a strong performance was Shenae Dawkins, who was 13th in the 100-meter hurdles (14.57) and sixth in the triple jump (37-05.00). Teyarnte' Carter finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.00.

The track teams are next in action at the ACC Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C. on April 16 and 17.
