
Spikes Qualifies For 200 Meter Quarterfinals On Day One In Lexington

LEXINGTON, KY - On the opening day of the NCAA East Regionals, two Terrapins competed in the evening portion. Roman Spikes advanced to Friday's quarterfinals after finishing among the top qualifiers in his event.
Spikes qualified in the 200 meters after turning in a time of 20.74 seconds and placing within the top-24 to move on to the quarterfinals.

Mehdi Guerrah ran a time of 51.11 seconds in the 400 meter hurdles placing sixth overall in his heat and 31st overall in the event.
Maryland returns to action tomorrow morning with Morgan Graham competing in the hammer throw at 10:00 a.m. and Rose Coats competing in the 10,000 meters at 9:10 p.m..
