COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland men's lacrosse team is still No. 1 after blasting defending national champion Virginia, 11-2, last Saturday at Byrd Stadium.
The Terps host No. 4 Navy this Saturday at Byrd Stadium at 1 p.m. Maryland then heads to Johns Hopkins on April 17 for the 100th game between the storied programs. The Terps cliniched the 2004 ACC Regular-Season Championship with the win over Virginia -- their first since 1998. Maryland, at 8-0 is off to its best start since that 1998 season as well -- which was also the last time the Terps were ranked No. 1 for more than one week during the season.
