COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland senior All-Americans defensemen Chris Passavia (Stony Brook, N.Y.) and Lee Zink (Rowayton, Conn.) have been chosen to play in the 63rd Annual USILA North/South Game, the premier collegiate all-star event. The game will take place on June 12 at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y. at 3 p.m. It will follow the Division III Game at Noon.
Both Passavia and Zink were named USILA First Team All-Americans earlier in the week.
For Passavia, it was his third USILA All-American honor, as he was recognized as a Third Team All-American as a sophomore and a Second Team All-American as a junior. Passavia follows the most recent three-time Terp All-American, Michael Howley, who was named the National Defenseman of the Year in 2003. Passavia finished his career playing in 59 games with 53 starts. He scooped up 161 groundballs and caused nearly 100 turnovers. He led the Terps in caused turnovers this season with 51 and also had 47 groundballs along with three assists.
Zink earned his second USILA accolade as he was a Third Team All-American as a junior. Zink played in 60 of 61 possible games over his four years. He recorded 138 groundballs in his career. In 2004, he was second on the team in groundballs with 62 and second in caused turnovers with 42.
