Maryland Football Prominently Featured in New Under Armour Ad

College Park, Md. - The University of Maryland football program is featured prominently in the latest installment of Under Armour Performance Apparel's "Protect This House" advertising campaign. The 90-second television spot will air throughout ESPN's annual ESPY Awards this Sunday night at 9:00 PM.

Head coach Ralph Friedgen, defensive line coach Dave Sollazzo and a number of former Terrapin players have significant roles in the commercial. Current football team members do not appear due to NCAA regulations.

In addition to its spots during the ESPY's, the new Under Armour commercial will air in its :90, :60 and :30 formats during SportsCenter the week of July 19th. The ads will have a full media schedule on a variety of networks during the 2004 collegiate and professional football seasons.

The current Terrapins are now a mere 49 days from the start of the 2004 season and open the campaign at home in their new Under Armour Performance Apparel uniforms against Northern Illinois on Saturday, September 4th at 6:00 pm. Maryland has sold more than 30,000 season tickets for the first time in school history.
