COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland football team held its annual Fan Day Sunday, showing Terp faithful a good time before showing them the paces they have been put through thus far this fall. Maryland fans were able to spend a day at Byrd Stadium, play interactive games, get autographs from their favorite players and see the team continue its work in preparing for its September 4 season opener.
Around 1,200 fans showed up to take part in the activities and take in the beautiful day. As far as football goes, the Terps took what could be best described as an easy day by the standards of fall camp this season as they went for a little over an hour for the first time this year on the field at Byrd.
The Terrapins are back at it today with the first of three two-a-days in the next five days before closing preseason camp this Saturday and having a day off to revive tired legs and start game-week preparation for Northern Illinois.
Tickets still remain for the opener and the following game against Temple. For ticket information or to purchase online, go to the Terp Ticket Webpage.
