The Maryland men's cross country team, competing at the James Madison Invitational, finished in second place among the meet's nine-team field. Peter Hess led the Terps with his second place finish, coming in four seconds behind race-winner C.W. Moran of JMU.
The Terps finished with 39 points in the race, with JMU posting the winning total of 24 points. Elizabethtown finished in third with 81 points, 42 points behind Maryland. Lynchburg (120) finished in fourth, Radford fifth (127), followed by Howard (153), Bridgewater (210), Eastern Mennonite (230) and George Mason (242).
