COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The University of Maryland football team will be featured heavily on television tonight as a pair of programs debut. A show on College Sports Television (CSTV) features a behind-the-scenes look at training camp and the Terp offensive line at 10:00 p.m. while the first episode of this season's Ralph Friedgen TV Show airs on Comcast SportsNet at 11:00.
CSTV was at Maryland before the start of camp and then returned in August to shoot the team during two-a-days. The result is one of the best, in-depth features done on the team in recent years.
From CSTV about the Dog Days series (which also features two other schools): August brings the end of summer, the college football pre-season and Dog Days. From wake-up to bed check, Dog Days takes viewers behind-the-scenes and into the faces of the players, coaches, trainers and administrators with unprecedented access to pre-season training camp at Maryland.
CSTV can be found on DirectTV channel 610 and on Comcast digital cable in most Maryland counties on channel 274.
The Ralph Friedgen Show will go over last week's season-opening win over Northern Illinois and feature several other storylines about this year's and past Maryland teams. The first show will air tonight on Comcast SportsNet at 11:00 p.m. while several other Fox Sports Networks (CSTV and Sunshine Network) will also re-air the show at different times this year.
