The Terps head to Ohio State for the second meet of the 2005 season. After coming in second to a tough Arizona State team (ranked #5 this week) at the Maui Invitational, the team faces another challenge in #3 Michigan.
Maryland's score at the Maui Invitational (193.975) is it's highest opening meet total to date. Senior Leah Brill, Junior Rachel Martinez and Redshirt sophomore Rachel Colon had strong performances to lead the Terps. Colon was named EAGL Specialist of the Week for her second place finish on beam (9.875) and her performance on bars (9.800). Brill had a 9.800 or higher in the three events in which she competed. Martinez finished fourth in the all-around with a 38.725.
