GREENSBORO, N.C. - Maryland senior Jason Garey was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's Player of the Week after helping the Terrapins to a pair of conference wins last week over No. 4 Virginia and Boston College. The forward scored three goals in the two games.

It is the second time this season that Garey has earned player of the week honors.

On Wednesday, Maryland posted a 3-0 victory over Virginia handing the Cavaliers their first conference loss of the season. Garey added a goal in the 86th minute of action to solidify the victory for the Terrapins. The senior forward headed in the goal off a free kick from Chris Lancos.

Against Boston College, Garey tallied two goals including the game-winner at 32:35 in the first half. The Gonzales, La., native would notch his second goal of the game off a penalty kick for his league-leading 16th goal of the season.

The Terps will be back in action on Wednesday at Ludwig Field to take on NJIT at 7 p.m. Maryland will then face Indiana on Saturday at Ludwig Field at 8 p.m.
