2006 ACC Women's Tournament Tickets on Sale Now

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Tickets are now on sale for the 2006 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament to be held at the Greensboro Coliseum from March 2-5. Support the Terps as they look to battle for their first ACC title since 1989.
With the expansion of the ACC, 12 teams will be competing for the right to be called ACC Champion. The top four seeds receive a bye for the first round of play. Maryland reached the semifinals of the tournament in each of the last two years, falling to Duke both times. . Already in the young 2005-06 season, the Terps have garnered a top-10 ranking, defeating ranked-opponent and last year's NCAA runner-up Michigan State and nearly topping No. 1 Tennessee at the Paradise Jam in November.
All session tickets are $79 each or $72 for seniors and students, and can be purchased though the Comcast Center ticket office at 1-800-IM-A-TERP or online at www.umterps.com. The 2005 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament marks the seventh-consecutive year the Coliseum has hosted the event. In 2005, the tournament set an overall (48,108) and championship game (11,578) attendance marks.
