The Maryland men's lacrosse team moved up into a tie for third in the latest Inside Lacrosse media poll after defeating Georgetown 13-6 this past Saturday in College Park.
Holding down the top spot is Johns Hopkins, while defending national champion Syracuse checks in at the number two slot. The Terps are tied for third with Princeton, while 2004 runner-up Navy is fifth.
Georgetown, which entered the game with Maryland the No. 5 team in the nation, fell to eighth this week following the loss to the Terps.
This Saturday's opponent, Duke, is ranked 12th this week with a 2-0 record. The Blue Devils host VMI Tuesday night in Durham, N.C.
