College Park, Md. - The No. 5 Maryland men's lacrosse team opened its preseason schedule with two victories this afternoon at the Maryland Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex.

In the opener, the Terps defeated a tough Delaware team 6-2. The game was tied 2-2 at the half, but Maryland shutout the Blue Hens in the final two quarters, while scoring four goals to earn the win.

The second game saw the Terps beat St. Mary's College 11-6. Maryland scored five goals in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Maryland continues its preseason schedule next Saturday, February 12, against preseason No. 3 Princeton. The game is set for a 1:00 p.m. start at the Maryland Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex.
