Media asked Maryland head coach Brenda Frese and the players about being earning an NCAA Tournament berth and hosting the first and second rounds of the tournament
Head Coach Brenda Frese
On playing at Comcast Center:
"We're so proud of the fact that we're able to host and bring in all these quality teams. We get to play in front of all our friends, family and fans who have supported us the whole season."
On anticipating the selection show:
"Last year we were on the bubble, this year we knew we were in. So I think we wanted to study the bracket a little more this year and see who we are actually playing."
On back to back tournament appearances:
"It shows you where this program is headed. I'm just so proud of the hard work that our players and staff have put in to get us back-to-back tournament appearances."
On preparing for the first round game against UW-Green Bay:
"We are going to start preparing immediately, looking at the film we have. We know a little bit about them, not much. But we'll be prepared when the time comes."
On UW-Green Bay's team:
"They are a very hardworking team. They play a lot of zone. They don't turn the ball over a lot. It'll be a good match-up."
On what the team is going to bring to this year's tournament:
"We're going to bring intensity. We're going to go out there and lay it all out on the line and give it everything we have."

On the excitement of the NCAA tournament:
"If you can't get excited for this then you shouldn't play basketball, because this is what you play for."
On the NCAA Tournament:
"I'm excited to get back out on the court and get playing again. I think we have a great opportunity right in front of us, now it's up to us to take it or not."
On the team's strengths:
"We are very offensive oriented. Other than Duke, we've been rebounding at a high percentage. But I don't think we need to worry about that, I think everything will fall into place for us and I think we'll do well."
On establishing a tradition:
"We've worked very hard to establish a tradition. This is a great program and we want to stand alongside the men and share their success."

"I know we're going to come out and play our best. But we're going to have to play hard because this is the NCAA and everyone is playing their best."
On being named the ACC Rookie of the Year:
"We have some great freshman here in our conference, and so it's a great feeling."

"I'm not thinking about the sweet 16 quite yet. Right now, the first thing on our plate is UW-Green Bay and I'm just ready to go out and play."

On playing at Comcast Center:
"We hope its going to be a big boost. Everyone wants to play on their home court because you usually have a better record at home than you do on the road. You play with more confidence and the crowd behind you helps you."

"This excitement has to go down after today because we've got a lot of work ahead of us. We've got all week to prepare for the tournament, but we're going to take it one day at a time."
