Pregame Quotes
Kevin Borseth, UW-Green Bay Head Coach
On UW-Green Bay seed: It's really hard to tell. For the first time I looked at the RPI just to see how close attention the NCAA would pay to that. And, according to that they didn't but obviously they must do the same thing every year. I agree with the players, if you're seven, if you're ten, you're going to play a good team regardless.
On if NCAA Tournament experience will be a factor: I don't think you gain any advantages at this time. They are very talented. They have a very heralded group of underclassmen that are potentially future WNBA players. Will experience play a factor? It could. I do know that our players are experienced enough to not look like the deer in the headlights. Our kids aren't going to be overwhelmed with how bright the lights are, won't be intimidated by the questions, or even the atmosphere. In that respect having been here before may be the only advantage we have.
On stopping Maryland: That will be pretty interesting to see if we can because they are obviously extremely talented. We have to do all we can to keep them from scoring baskets and we've got to score some.
Senior Forward Tiffany Mor
On experience of having played in three NCAA Tournaments:
I don't think there is ever not excitement when you come to the NCAA Tournament. We've looked forward to being able to get back here, it's been one of our goals.
Senior Guard Abby Scharlow
On being seeded 10th:
We're not worried about that because we are past that. I don't think there is much difference between 7, 8, 9 and 10. We're happy to be here and we're ready to play.
On Maryland: They have a really good post player (Crystal Langhorne). They also have some really good guards and they do a good job of rebounding. They also like to push the ball in transition, so we'll have to get back on defense.
