Terp Wrestling Hands Out Postseason Awards

    COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland Terrapin wrestling program recently announced its team awards at a picnic in Epping Forest in Annapolis. Charlie Pinto was awarded the John McHugh Most Outstanding Wrestler Award, named after the legendary Terrapin coach.

    In addition, seniors John Antonelli, Mike Lupa and Barry Stein were awarded their letters. Lupa also was awarded the Kevin Kearns Senior Achievement Award, named after the long-time contributor to the program.

    Yony Noy was recognized with the Tom Norris Unsung Hero Award, in honor of the Vietnam veteran and author. Rob Parker was awarded Kurt Callahan Meanest Guy Award, named after the Terp alum.

    Matt Pandullo, a senior in 2004, was also in attendance to receive his awards from the 2003-04 season. Pandullo was given his letter in addition to the Kevin Kearns Senior Achievement Award as well as the John McHugh Most Outstanding Wrestler Award.
