COLUMBUS, Ohio -
Former Terrapin standout Taylor Twellman won the Honda Most Valuable Player award in the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game for his outstanding offensive performance which included a goal in the 4-1 victory over Fulham FC.
Twellman was a constant offensive presence throughout the game in helping the MLS side to victory. Twellman scored the game's opening goal on a well-placed shot past the Fulham keeper in the 23rd minute after taking a feed from Landon Donovan.
Twellman, who still ranks ninth at Maryland for career points (73) despite just playing two seasons with the Terps, is second in the league this season in scoring with nine goals and four assists. He has played his entire MLS career with New England after two professional seasons in Europe.
