
Garey Named National Player of the Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland senior Jason Garey was named the national Player of the Week today by CollegeSoccerNews.com after scoring three goals against two nationally ranked opponents.
The Gonzales, La. native was named the offensive MVP of the Maryland/adidas Classic in leading the Terps to wins over No. 5 Santa Clara and No. 15 Virginia Commonwealth. On Friday night against the Broncos, Garey found the back of the net twice -- including a score in the game's second minute.
Garey also moved up the charts on Maryland's all-time career lists this weekend. He is now has 42 goals and 98 points for his career, third best in Terrapin history.
