COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland Terrapins will look to rebound from its 1-0 midweek loss at Penn State against NC State on Sunday. The Terps had their four-game winning streak halted by the Nittany Lions after being held scoreless for just the second time this season.

The Terps (5-2-0) have won just once this season away from Ludwig Field (a 7-0 win at Cal State Fullerton). Maryland, though, has historically had success at SAS Soccer Stadium -- advancing to three straight ACC finals while the tourney has been held there.

Last season in Raleigh against the Wolfpack, the Terps rallied late and managed to come away a 1-1 tie. Jason Garey scored with just over 10 minutes remaining to knot the score for the Terps.

Head coach Sasho Cirovski's next win will be the 200th of his career. His career record stands at 199-97-18.

With his next goal, Jason Garey will be Maryland's all-time career leader in that category. He is currently tied with Cliff Krug (1958-60) with 45.

Kenney Bertz was named to the CollegeSoccerNews team of the week on Monday. Bertz helped lead the Terps to a pair of shutouts and scored a goal against the Tigers and an assist against the Bonnies. Garey was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com team of the week after his hat trick against SBU.

The Terps will return to Ludwig Field on Tuesday, Sept. 27, against William & Mary. Kickoff is scheduled for 7p.m. The Tribe upset the Terps last season, 1-0, when Maryland was the No. 1 team in the country.

    Last Time Out
    • Penn State's Simon Omekanda scored in just the second minute which proved to be the difference as the Nittany Lions defeated No. 6 Maryland, 1-0, Wednesday night at Jeffrey Field.
    • The Terps controlled the midfield and worked the ball upfield but could not connect in the final third. The Penn State back line limited Maryland to just a pair of shots in the first half.
    • Maryland attacked early in the second half and generated several set plays deep in the Penn State end. The Terps had three corner kicks and two free kicks just outside the box in the half's first 10 minutes but could not get any good looks at the goal.
    • The Nittany Lions had a chance to put the game away late in the second, but goalkeeper Craig Salvati came out to stuff two shots by Ascherl. Salvati made two saves on the night while Taylor did not have to stop a shot for the Lions.

    Tracking 200
    • Terrapin head coach Sasho Cirovski is just one win shy of his 200th career victory. His career mark is 199-98-18.
    • Cirovski, who had a pair of 13-win seasons at Hartford before coming to College Park, has 173 wins at Maryland (which ranks second only to the legendary Doyle Royal at Maryland).
    • Cirovski's .659 career winning percentage ranks 20th among active coaches.

    Series History vs. NC State
    • Maryland leads the all-time series with the Wolfpack, 40-19-5.
    • The Terps are 8-0-1 in the last nine meetings against NC State, and have not lost to the Wolfpack since 1997. Maryland has not lost to NC State in Raleigh since 1994.
    • Head coach Sasho Cirovski is 11-2-2 against NC State.

    NC State At A Glance
    • NC State enters Sunday's game with a 4-3-1 record and a 0-1-1 mark in the ACC.
    • The Wolfpack got off to a tough 0-2 start, but then went 3-0-1 -- including a 2-1 victory over No. 7 St. John's and a tie against No. 2 North Carolina. After a 2-0 loss at Virginia, NC State bounced back on Wednesday with a 3-1 win over Elon.
Aaron King leads NC State offensively with seven goals and two assists. He is among the ACC leaders in goals and points per game. King managed a goal against the Terps in last year's meeting.
    • Bryant Salter's five assists lead the Wolfpack and also rank him among the top five in the conference in that category.
    • Jorge Gonzalez has made 22 saves in three games against Maryland, including five in last season's matchup. Gonzalez has made five starts this season and has 24 saves on the year. Aaron Sanders has also seen action between the pipes for the Pack, logging 225 minutes in goal.
