Terrapin Sports Radio Network
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - This season, fans can follow the sixth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team through a variety of mediums. The Terps have five regular season games remaining that will be televised regionally and nationally. The new broadcast team of Matt Noble and David Preston will call the action for six more games over the Maryland Radio Network. Fans can also enjoy live video webcasts of all non-televised home games on www.umterps.com.
On television, Maryland's next three games will be televised on the ACC's Regional Sports Network (Comcast SportsNet in the Baltimore/Washington area, Fox Sports South, Sun Sports and New England Sports Network), beginning with the Terps' clash vs. Florida State on Monday, Jan. 16 in Comcast Center. In the postseason, selected ACC Tournament games will air on the conference's Regional Sports Network, with the semifinal and championship games airing nationally on Fox Sports. All NCAA Tournament games, beginning March 18, will be televised by ESPN and ESPN2.

Also on television, Comcast SportsNet and CSTV will air the second season of Under the Shell, the original, cutting edge, behind-the-scenes series featuring the Maryland women's basketball team. New episodes air on Comcast SportsNet on Wednesdays at 11 p.m. and CSTV on Fridays at 5 p.m. Check listings for re-air dates and times.

Noble joins the Terps after spending more than 13 years on the radio with the Mount Basketball Network at Mount St. Mary's College. From 1992-98, he was also the play-by-play man for the Frederick Keys and was the only Keys announcer for all 140 games his last three seasons. A 1981 graduate of Maryland, Noble worked at WMUC during his four years in College Park, serving as Sports Director in 1979-80 and has filled in for Johnny Holliday on Maryland women's basketball games in the past.
Preston also comes to Maryland with extensive radio experience. A 1992 Syracuse graduate, he began his career at WGIR Radio in New Hampshire, where he broadcasted Southern New Hampshire University basketball games from 1992-96. He went on to work at WLBC in Muncie, Ind., for four years, where he broadcast a variety of sports at all levels, including Ball State women's basketball, where he worked with current Maryland head coach Brenda Frese. He has worked with Westwood One/CBS Radio since 2001 and joined the weekend sports team at WTOP in the Washington, D.C., area in 2002.
All other games not on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network will be broadcast by the University's WMUC Radio. The web stream can be listened to by clicking on the links at www.umterps.com or at www.wmucsports.com directly.

Archived episodes of Under the Shell can also be accessed on the new Under the Shell web site at the athletic department's official site. The site also includes additional content, including photos and special programming not featured on the weekly show. New content will be available throughout the season on the site.
