COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Saturday's football game at Virginia will be carried live on ESPN360, a broadband service available in approximately eight million homes nationwide via high-speed broadband connections with an ESPN-affiliated provider.

This service is sold only en masse to high speed providers and is not available for individual purchase if a person's high speed provider has not signed up for the service. The most prominent current subscribers include Charter Cable and Verizon. (See information below for a list of ESPN affiliates)

Fans cannot purchase a subscription to ESPN360. They get the service free of charge, but must receive high-speed Internet service from an ESPN-affiliated service provider. This weekend's game is not a part of the ESPN GamePlan pay-per-view package.

How does ESPN360 work?
ESPN360 is available on your computer via a high-speed data connection that is provided by an ESPN-affiliated service provider. ESPN360 uses high-quality Flash 8 video and also has a streaming video component that is encoded at a high bit rate that enables a fast transmission for viewing high quality video content.

Who gets ESPN360 now?
Below is a list of the cable systems which offer ESPN 360 in the Baltimore/Washington area. While there is no charge for ESPN 360, in order to get this ESPN platform, fans will have to have purchased the high-speed DSL or Roadrunner services available.
