COLLEGE PARK, Md. - * Welcome to Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium for tonight's game between Maryland and Florida State.

* Maryland's 27-24 win over Florida State gives the Terps their first three-game winning streak since a three-game stretch during last season (at Wake Forest, Virginia, at Temple - September 24 to October 8).

* Saturday's game was the 17th meeting between the two schools. The Seminoles hold a 15-2 advantage in the all-time series. Maryland's only other win over FSU came in 2004 when the Terps scored a 20-17 victory over the then No. 5 Seminoles in College Park.

* With the win, Maryland moves to (6-2 overall and 3-1) in the ACC. Maryland moved into a tie for second place in the Atlantic Division. Clemson sits atop the division with a 4-2 mark. Maryland, Boston College, and Wake Forrest all sit at 3-1. The Terrapins will play on the road next Saturday at Clemson.

* Maryland head coach Ralph Friedgen is now 47-22 in the midst of his sixth season directing the Terrapin football program. The win moves Friedgen into fourth place among active ACC coaches with 47 wins.

* Senior signal-caller Sam Hollenbach became the seventh quarterback in school history to reach the 4,000 yard passing plateau. He now has 4,036 career years after finishing 12 of 20 for 131 yards against the Seminoles.

* Adam Podlesh's first punt was downed at the FSU 15-yard line. Of his 193 career punts, 38 percent (74) have been downed inside the opponents' 20-yard line. He entered Saturday's game averaging 36.4 yards per punt and finished with an average of 44.8 yards on five punts against the Seminoles.

* Darrius Heyward-Bey hauled in a five-yard touchdown pass from Hollenbach in the second quarter. It was his first career touchdown reception. Heyward-Bey caught a second touchdown, a 30-yard reception, in the third quarter, becoming the first Terrapin since Vernon Davis to record two receiving touchdowns in a game. Davis posted three TD receptions against Duke on September 25, 2004.

* Sophomore wideout Danny Oquendo continued his strong play as the Terrapins' kick returner. He returned three punts for 85 yards, including a career-long of 45 yards early in the fourth quarter.

* Senior kicker Dan Ennis connected from 38-yards out in the first quarter to give Maryland a 10-7 lead. He booted a 39-yard field goal midway through the second quarter to push Maryland to a 20-7 advantage. It was Ennis' sixth consecutive made field goal, giving him his longest streak of the season. He connected on his first 11 attempts in 2005.
