National Champion Terps Unveil Banner in Home Opener

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The National Champion women's basketball team makes its home debut on Sunday, Nov. 12 when it hosts George Mason. The Terrapins will also unveil the championship banner commemorating the team's title run last season. The game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet and tips off at 2 p.m. Fans can also watch on www.ACCSelect.com.

The Terrapins won its season opener at Middle Tennessee State, 80-76, as four players reached double figures. Sophomore Marissa Coleman and junior Crystal Langhorne each had double-doubles in the victory.

The Terps are looking to start the season at 2-0 for the seventh-consecutive year and win its eighth-straight home opener.

Maryland has never lost to George Mason in three meetings in the series. The Patriots will be opening the season against the Terrapins. GMU returns 12 letterwinners from last year's team that went 12-17. Among the returning letterwinners are four starters.
