COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland wrestling team will take on No. 18 Nebraska on Saturday, November 25 at 4:00 p.m. at the Comcast Pavilion. The Terps are currently 4-2 in dual action while the Cornhuskers will compete in their first match tonight at Virginia Tech.
The last time Maryland and Nebraska met was on December 5, 1983 when the Huskers barely escaped College Park with a 22-21 victory.
The Terps are coming off of a sixth place finish at the Body Bar Systems Invitational at Cornell last Saturday. Five Maryland wrestlers placed at the event led by junior Charlie Pinto who won the 141-pound bracket by beating teammate Alex Krom. Senior Jason Kiessling and freshman Mike Letts both finished third at 165 and 174 pounds, respectively, and redshirt freshman Hudson Taylor placed fourth at 197.
This is the first home event of the season for the Terrapins. They will not return home until January, 10, 2007 for a dual against Navy.
