Coming off its second straight trip to the NCAA Final Four, the Maryland men's lacrosse team is ranked No. 7 in the Preseason Inisde Lacrosse/Face-Off Yearbook Top 25.
Maryland, which went 12-5 last season, was ranked No. 4 in last year's preseason poll and No. 5 in 2005, 2004 and 2003. Nine opponents on the Terps' 2007 schedule are ranked among the Top 25.
The Terrapins will take on five of the top 10 teams: hosting No. 2 Johns Hopkins (April 13), No. 5 Georgetown (February 24), No. 6 Duke (TBA) and visiting No. 1 Virginia (March 31) and No. 9 Navy (April 6).
Maryland returns three All-Americans (defenders Ray Megill and Steve Whittenberg and goalie Harry Alford) among its six returning starters.

Face-Off Yearbook, the most referenced preview guide for men's college lacrosse, will be released next weekend at the IMLCA Clinic in Baltimore.
Face-Off Yearbook features previews of every NCAA and NJCAA men's lacrosse team, spanning all DI, DII, DIII and JuCo squads. The publication contains rankings, pre-season All-Americans, All-Conference selections, strength of schedule analysis, stats and more. In addition to the Top 25 teams released today, this year Face-Off has ranked every men's Division I team, No. 1 to No. 57. Face-Off Yearbook is available for pre-order online and will ship December 11.
