
King Named Academic All-District

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior midfielder Stephen King was named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Team, announced on November 2. King is now eligible for Academic All-American consideration and that team will be chosen later this month.
King, a finance major, is second on the team with six goals and 19 points and his seven assists is tops on the team. He has been a mainstay in the Maryland midfield since he stepped foot on campus in 2004, starting all 70 games he has played in since his arrival. King was an All-ACC second team selection this year.
King and the rest of the Terrapins (15-4-1) will learn their place in the NCAA Tournament this afternoon as the bracket is announced live on ESPNews between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
