TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Freshman Jeremy Hall was named to the College Soccer News 2006 All-Freshman First Team, announced today. Hall finished second on the team with seven goals and third with 17 points. He was also tabbed the ACC Freshman of the Year on October 30.

Hall provided a huge boost to the Terrapins' attack in his first year in College Park. He was second on the team with seven goals and added three assists for 17 points. Hall was Maryland's first conference Freshman of the Year since the award began in 1990.

Hall tallied his first-career goal against UCLA on September 2 and then tallied a goal in consecutive matches against Clemson and Mount St. Mary's. In the Terps' 2-0 win against Penn State on September 20, Hall assisted on both goals which was a season best for helpers. In the next game at Wake Forest, he scored the equalizer in the 79th minute that sparked a come-from-behind 2-1 victory.

Hall also scored a pair of game-winning goals late in the season. His first came against Bucknell in a 4-1 win on October 24. It was head coach Sasho Cirovski's 200th win at Maryland. He also notched the game-winner against St. John's in his first game in the NCAA Tournament. The Terps went on to win, 2-0.
