TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Sophomore keeper Chris Seitz and junior midfielder Maurice Edu have been named All-Americans again, this time by College Soccer News, announced today. Seitz is the fifth College Soccer News All-America First Team selection for Maryland since 1996 and the first Terps' keeper to earn the honor. Edu was named to the third team.

Both Seitz and Edu have earned a pair of All-America honors this year. Edu was a NSCAA/adidas All-America First Team selection while Seitz was placed on the third team. Seitz was also picked as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year earlier this season.

Much like on the NSCAA/adidas All-America list, Maryland is the only ACC school to garner two selections to the All-America squads.

Seitz anchored the Maryland backline which racked up 10 shutouts in 16 wins. He put together a fantastic sophomore campaign with a goals against average of 0.66 and a save percentage of .816. His record of 15-4-1 this past season improved his career mark to 28-5-3 in his first two seasons in College Park. In the Terps' final regular season game against Virginia Tech and in the first round game in the ACC Tournament against Boston College, Seitz saved a career-high eight shots.

Edu was a steady presence for the Terps as the defensive midfielder and came up with important goals when Maryland needed them most. Edu recorded four game-winning goals during the season with three of them coming in 1-0 wins. He notched five goals and four assists for 14 points this season and was an All-ACC first team honoree as well as a Hermann Trophy semifinalist.
