COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Fourth-ranked Maryland plays its final regular-season road trip, traveling to NC State for a regionally televised game on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. It is the Terps' third trip to the triangle area in 10 days.
The game will also benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, as NC State hosts Maryland in the Hoops for Hope game. The Terps recently collected donations prior to a Maryland men's basketball game and will present NC State with nearly $4,000.
The Terps are coming off a dominating win over No. 18/20 Boston College, 86-59, on Thursday. It was their fifth win over a ranked opponent this season, the most since the 1992-93 season. Maryland also picked up its 10th ACC victory of the season against the Eagles, the most since 1992-93, and its 23rd win overall is the most since 1991-92.
NC State is 16-9 and 6-6 in the ACC. The Wolfpack have been ranked as high as 23rd in the polls throughout the season. NCS is on a three-game win streak and is looking to remain in the top half of the conference standings with just two regular-season games remaining. The Wolfpack are also looking to avenge 63-56 loss to the Terps in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament last season.
The game will be televised on the ACC's Regional Sports Network (Comcast SportsNet in the Baltimore/Washington area, Fox Sports South, Sun Sports).
Maryland returns for its final two regular season home games of the season. The Terps will close out the ACC slate against Clemson on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. Northern Colorado will visit Comcast Center for the second-straight year to close out the regular season on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for Maryland's final two home games are available for purchase at the Comcast Ticket Office by calling 1-800-IMA-TERP or online at www.umterps.com.
