College Park, Md. - Max Ritz was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week after leading the Terrapins to an opening day, road victory over then-No. 7 Georgetown last Saturday.

Ritz tallied five points on four goals and an assist to guide the Terps to a 10-4 win over the Hoyas. The sophomore attackman provided a pair of equalizing goals in the first and second periods as Ritz' second goal of the game led to a 9-0 Terrapin run. Ritz, a native of Wayne, Pa., took seven shots in the game, six of which were on goal, while recording three ground balls. The win kept Maryland perfect all-time against Georgetown in six contests.
