Terps Up To Second In Latest Inside Lacrosse Media Poll

College Park, Md. - The Maryland men's lacrosse team, coming off of a dominating 10-4 victory at Georgetown this past Saturday, moved up one spot to No. 2 in the latest Inside Lacrosse media poll.

Duke retained the top spot in this week's Inside Lacrosse media poll, garnering 19 first-place votes and a top ranking for the third consecutive week, setting up a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown when the Terps travel to Durham this weekend.

Defending national champion Johns Hopkins fell from second to fourth after a narrow win over 19th-ranked Albany. Virginia moved up one spot from fourth to third, giving the ACC the top three teams in the nation this week.

Georgetown, after losing to Maryland this weekend, dropped from seventh to tenth, while Princeton, Cornell and UMass all moved up a slot to fill out rankings seven, eight and nine.

North Carolina, the fourth ACC school, fell to seventeenth, respectively, after going 1-1 this weekend.

The Inside Lacrosse media poll comes out every Monday and features voters from media outlets across the country.
