College Park, Md. - Maryland's Xander Ritz was named Inside Lacrosse's National Player of the Week and the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week after guiding the Terrapins to an 8-7 overtime victory over No. 1 Duke in Durham last Saturday.

Ritz tallied six points on five goals and an assist including the game-winner with two minutes and 46 seconds remaining in overtime to give Maryland the victory. The Wayne, Pa. native set a career-high scoring five goals against the Blue Devils, while extending his point scoring streak to 18 straight games. The win was Maryland's first over a No. 1 ranked team since 1987 when the Terps defeated top-ranked North Carolina.
