Reiss, Carr Place At FILA Junior Freestyle National Championships

LAS VEGAS - Two Maryland Terrapin wrestlers placed this weekend at the FILA Junior National Freestyle Championships in Las Vegas. Heavyweight Bryan Reiss finished second in the 264.5 pound weight class, and Sean Carr placed sixth in the 132.5 pound weight class.
Other Terps competing were Brendan Byrne, Eric Grida, Alex Krom and Hudson Taylor.
Reiss won three matches to advance to the finals before being defeated by Trey McLean of the Olympic Training Center.
Carr won four matches to advance to the semifinals before being defeated by eventual champ Coleman Scott. He then lost to Kyle Anson to take sixth place.
