COLLEGE PARK, Md.- Despite being down 4-2 towards the end of the third quarter, the University of Maryland women's water polo team scored the final four goals of the game to defeat George Washington for the second time this season.
The Terps began the comeback with a goal at 5.95 seconds remaining in the third quarter. Still down by one, Maryland scored three goals in the final three minutes of the game to take home the win.
Rachel Jordan led scorers for the Terps with two goals, and Bryndis Klein, Blaise Stanicic, Christen Vagts, and Juli Jordan contributed the remaining four.
The Terps and Colonials had previously faced each other on March 7 in Washington D.C., with Maryland emerging victorious 9-4.
Next up for the Terps is a double-header against Bucknell and Princeton on Saturday, April 8 in College Park.
