COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland women's basketball player Marissa Coleman was a featured guest on NBC4 News' Wednesday's Child, a weekly segment profiling children in foster care who are available for adoption. The feature airs in the Washington, D.C. affliate on Wednesday, August 2 at 5 p.m.

A member of the 2006 NCAA Champion squad and the ACC's Rookie of the Year, Coleman (Cheltenham, Md./St/ John's College [D.C.]) spent time with Brenda, a 13-year-old aspiring basketball player, shooting baskets and giving pointers in the University of Maryland's Comcast Center.

The segment is hosted weekly by News4 Today and News4 at 10 anchor Barbara Harrison. The feature reairs on Thursday, August 3 on the 5 p.m. News and on Sunday, August 6 on the 9 a.m. news.
