
Wrestling Releases 2006-07 Schedule

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Terrapins wrestling team announced its 2006-07 schedule today which is highlighted by three nationally ranked teams coming to College Park. Nebraska, Navy, and Illinois will all visit the Terps in duals next season.
Nebraska, ranked No. 5 in the last NWCA poll on March 8, 2006, will battle the Terps on November 25 in the first home dual of the season. Later in the season on January 10 and 13, No. 22 Navy and No. 4 Illinois come to College Park for dual meets, respectively.
Maryland will also travel to the Avalon Duals on November 4 hosted by Edinboro, which finished eighth at the NCAA Championships last season. The Terps will also face Stanford and Mercyhurst in Edinboro. The Drexel Duals and the Body Bar Systems Invitational at Cornell on November 11 and 18, respectively, all lead up to the dual against Nebraska.
The Terps, who were ACC Dual Meet Co-Champions last season, open its conference slate against North Carolina on January 13 before they square off against the Illini. The following week on the 20th, Maryland travels to Virginia Tech before heading to NC State to face the Wolfpack and Duke on the 27th. The end of the ACC schedule comes on February 16 when the Terps host Virginia.
The 2007 ACC Men's Wrestling Championships will be held at the Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, N.C. on March 3.
