Terps Tabbed With Nation's Fifth-Best Recruiting Class By Inside Lacrosse

Sept. 21, 2006

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Inside Lacrosse, the sports leading publication, has named the 2007 University of Maryland men's lacrosse recruiting class the fifth-best in the nation in its annual "Recruiting Issue."

Here's what IL had to say on insidelacrosse.com about Maryland's incoming freshman class:

"The Terps landed the best goalie in the class in Brian Phipps. He'll have monster defenseman Brian Farrell in front of him for four years. And Bryn Holmes is a middie any coach would love to have."

Phipps was tapped as the seventh-best individual recruit and was the one of only two goalies among the top 10.

Holmes was selected as one of two "X-Factor" recruits by IL.
