COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland wrestling team returns to dual competition this weekend when it heads to the Palumbo Center on the campus of Duquesne to take on Delaware State and the host Dukes on Sunday, January 7. Match times have been changed as the Terrapins will take the mat first at 10:00 a.m. against the Hornets and then will conclude the day against Duquesne at 1:00 p.m.

The Terps have won six of their last seven duals with their only loss coming to nationally-ranked Nebraska on November 25. Maryland has won four-straight duals dating back to December 1.

Last weekend at the Southern Scuffle hosted by UNC Greensboro, the Terrapins finished eighth with 71.5 points. Leading the way individually was sophomore Alex Krom who placed second in the 141 pound bracket. He barely lost to top-seeded Manuel Rivera of No. 1 Minnesota, 7-6, in the finals.

Three other Terps placed in the in the tournament including freshman Mike Letts who finished third at 174 pounds. Redshirt freshman Hudson Taylor took fourth at 197 pounds and senior Jason Kiessling placed eighth at 165 pounds.

Delaware State has yet to win a match this season and is 0-7 in dual competition. Duquesne is currently 1-4 with its lone victory coming against American International College on December 10.

After this weekend's action, the Terps will return to Comcast Pavilion to host three-straight duals. On Wednesday, January 10, Maryland welcomes Navy at 7:00 p.m. The Midshipmen are currently receiving votes in the USA Today/InterMat/NWCA poll.

Then on Saturday, January 13, the Terrapins host ACC foe North Carolina at 12:00 p.m. and No. 15 Illinois at 4:00 p.m. at the Comcast Pavilion.
