COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland wrestling team will hold its Fall Wrestling Coaches/Wrestlers Clinic on Thursday and Friday, October 25 and 26, in conjunction with the Red and Black Wrestle-offs. This clinic is designed for coaches and wrestlers to learn and interact with their team on the instruction. The clinic will feature top-notch instructors and will take place in the Comcast Center Wrestling Room.
The Terps will welcome NCAA Champion Sheldon Thomas as their special guest. Thomas is an NCAA Champion and three-time NCAA All-American from Clarion University.
For the first time, the clinic will offer the optional USA Wrestling Bronze Certification. Coaches can sign up and receive the coaches certification being offered throughout the clinic. The Bronze level is a comprehensive education program for coaches who are committed to expanding their knowledge in the art and science of the coaching of wrestling. A certificate of Bronze certification and a Bronze level certified NCEP coaches card is issued upon successful completion. This is a great opportunity to access the benefits of USA Wrestling and enhance coaching philosophy.
